This week we learned about weather in science. We made two measuring tools. A barometer and an anemometer. Inside of math we learned D.M.S.C.B. that means divide, multiply, subtract, check, bring down. In social studies we are doing a map project.
The annual Harvest Fest is Friday night. Don't miss the fun! Tickets are on sale now. Come to play games, eat treats, get candy, and see your friends and teachers in costumes. The fourth grade teachers and parents are running a tattoo, face painting, and hair coloring booth. It is not too late to help at our booth. We are still needing volunteers from 7:30-9:00.
Last week we went on a field trip to Charlotte’s Web. It was fun. Wilber was the funniest character in the play. Uncle was also funny. At school we learned mode, median, and range. We learned line, rays, segments, points, parallel, perpendicular, and intersecting lines. In social studies we learned about Pima, Navajo, Pueblo, Papago, and Apache tribes and made clay pots. The end.
This week I did ancient Kachina dolls it was easy and we did median mode and range. We studied Hohokam, Anasazi, Mogollon and nomads. September 16 2010 we got a webkinz pet. His name is Gray. He is a weimaraner. On Monday I was reading about the Barking Ghost. Today I had cup of noodles.
This week my class learned figuratative language like similes, metaphors, idioms, personification. We had reading buddies and we also learned AZ 3 regions, science, spelling, AZ books, factors, multiples, mixed numbers, reading, z.y.l.a.r, and daily reflection. Then we dismiss at 3:15 everyday.
